If a student is stricken I do think it matters if it was provoked, people should care if the student was teased and taunted, I think people should intervene if someone is getting bullied or teased. Bullying happens at every school. It is very hard to stop this from occurring. Bullying can come in many different ways. One way is Verbal abuse. This is when the bully doesn’t harm the student physically but mentally. This usually entails the bully calling him/she names. Saying distasteful things about the student.
If a student hits someone I think it should matter if that student was or were provoked. Lets say this student was a boy. He was getting picked on ever since he was in kindergarten. He sometimes would get his lunch box thrown out the window. Also when he gets to school he gets pushed around and called names. When this boy tried telling someone on how he was getting picked on no one would help him. When he told his mom she went to the school to complain and the teacher would say that he was different from the rest of the boys and that’s why he would get picked on. What if the teacher would tell her that he would need to stand up for himself and do what they did to him. What if the mom told him that he would need to protect himself and stand up to them and fight back. Well he did just not expected by a lot of people. This is the life of a boy named Peter.
People should care if a student was teased and bullied and taunted. They wouldn’t like it if it was them. What if everyone saw you getting picked on but no one would do anything. They would just stare and whisper and point and they would all every single one of them would laugh at you. Well that’s what would happen everyday to Peter. No matter what they would find him and do something humiliating. And one day Peter just had enough. So he planned to stop the pain. Like in the beginning of the book the teacher and the mo told him to stand up for himself and fight back. Well that’s just what he did. Could Peter be blamed for what happened? He stood up for himself like they told him to do. Why should he be punished?
