If a student strikes another student, there should be a reason. I think if the student that hit the other student should be questioned as to why they would do it. If they were provoked then they shouldn’t get into a lot of trouble but still get disciplined. If there was no reason as to why the student would attack another student then that student should get punished. Yes, I believe teachers and other staff members should care if the child is being teased or taunted. Bullying happens everywhere, and it needs to stop so if more adults start caring more the bullying might calm down and either go away or not be used as often. Yes, if someone is being picked on it’s not cool to just stand around and watch the poor kid get bashed. For example if someone is being picked on about their sexual preference and the person seems to be getting upset but doesn’t know exactly what to say, you should step in and tell the person off.

i agree that if a student is being bullied and teased, and uses violence a last resort, the student should only be slightly punished. the student who as teasing the student, however, should be punished for ruining someone elses life. although violence is not the answer, when someone is repeatedly being teased and tell a teacher and nothing happens violence is okay.

I agree i think that everyone should stand up for themselves. In Nineteen Minutes Peter took his anger out on Sterling Highschool. He was wrong for doing what he did but he was fed up with the way he was treated all through his school years and it was his last resort. Rarely kids at school would stand up for him, teachers never noticed he was bullied and his parents and brother only added to his stress.
