-Monkey King is unhappy with his life because he doesn't want to be a monkey anymore. He feels that way because he wants to become a king but everyone laughs at him and tells him "you can be a king ur a monkey"So he tries to not be a monkey as much as he can. -Jin Wang just moved to a new town and is the new student at school. He is unhappy with his life because he is the only American born Chinese student there. His peers make fun of him about culture like what he eats. They make sterotype jokes about him. -Danny has a cousin named Chin-Kee, he is 100 percent Chinese. Danny is unhappy with his life because he is ashamed and embrassed of his cousin because he is really different from him, a typical American. Danny also as a crush this girl named Mellody and Chin-Kee embrasses him infront of her.

Why do you think the other deities don't think a monkey deserves to be treated like all the other deities? Is there something wrong with being a monkey? Your comments here are quite accurate, Polly. Good job.
Enjoy the book. Next week I guess we will begin Crank. I hope you will like that book too.

-Theres a theme of prejudice in the monkey first story is when the deities dont let the monkey king go to the dinner party.they dont treat him like the other deities. They laugh at him because he's a monkey and they think monkeys cant be king. -In the second story stereotypes are put when the teacher of the new student say that hes from china because he assumed he was from china just by his looks.when the other student make fun of him for what he eats for lunch and wont be friends with him. -In the third story when the chinese cousin comes and the author makes him look really chinese and really smart.The students made fun of danny because of him. it is prejudice how danny says im anything like him.
