In the story of the monkey the theme of prejudice is present. All the gods and goddesses of the world were having a great big celebration in heaven. The monkey king was not invited for the mere fact that he is a monkey. This angers the monkey king and he isolates himself from all the other monkeys and practices many disciplines of kung- fu. Soon he changes his name from the monkey to "the great sage, equal to heaven". He doesn't even call himself a monkey anymore just so he can fit in with the gods and goddesses. I guess there would be a mutual hatred in this story, all the gods and goddesses don’t like the monkey king because he is a monkey and the monkey king doesn’t like them because they don’t like him.
Jin is made fun of in his school because he is Chinese and everyone seems to associate all these negative stereotypes with him because of it. You could also say Jin has a prejudice against the people who make fun of him and Greg when he told Jin that he shouldn’t date Amelia. Danny has prejudice against his cousin chin- kee because for every year since the eighth grade chin- kee has visited danny and he severely embarrasses him all the time. By the end of the year he has to transfer to another school that’s how bad the embarrassment becomes.
