electric car vs. Gas cars rough draft

“Be Green” that is the new thing today, now that people are becoming aware of the Earths global warming affects they are trying to change their lifestyles to preserve the Earth. Well one way to successfully help the Earth is to switch from gas powered cars to electric powered cars, it is not difficult not change up and do something good for the place we call home. Yes, switching from a gas powered car is a bit more expensive, but if your spending most of your money on gas rather then your rent then, I believe paying a bit more is worth it in the long run. An electric car is ran by an electric motor that is powered by a controller, then the controller is powered by rechargeable batteries. Now when having a electric car it is very important to charge your battery so you can actually use the car. An advantage to this is that no more wasted money on expensive gas, and you could charge the car at any useable outlet, but the disadvantage it the amount of time it needs to charge. Also the car will always find a way to recycle its energy, in gas powered cars once you use the gas, it is gone and the only way to get it back is to buy more. A electric car is also very silent it does not create a lot of distracting noise, although they do not travel at top speed but that is a good thing. A reason it is a good thing because it would prevent speeding accidents, it also costs less to charge the battery, then filling a gas tank. A draw back though is having to replace the battery if anything happened or I you were needed to buy a new battery. The world today is in a bad situation right now, and a big problem as we will all agree is Global Warming, but we can do many things to help and switching your air polluting vehicle in for a silent, earth friendly vehicle will be taking a step forward into helping our home survive

i think electric cars is a great idea. spending too much money on gas is a waste. by the time you gather enough money to fill up your tank again your car is running on empty. i wouldn't mind the hassle of having to charge the battery if its better for the earth,easy, quiet, and may even prevent accidents. i think this was very well written, it brought up a lot of good information. i liked your attention grabber "be green".

I think your topic is a very good topic. I liked how you included the disadvantages of an electric car too. You are making the readers aware of every situation. The only thing I would change is that you say you and we a lot. I would try to make it less second person and more third person.

eletric cars are a cool idea. our journalism class watched something last year where they had started to use them in california and they were working well. for a disadvantage you have that you could have to replace the vattery but you might also have to replace a car battery in a regular car so its almost the same thing. it doesnt seem like youre risking more on teh eletric car.

I think that your topic is really good and has a lot of points to argue with. I like the opening sentence because "Be Green" is one of the most common environment restoration programs out there today and many people are fond of it. As for the gas topic i think that it is a very strong debate. Buying gas nearly every day over the years is definitely more money efficient compared to gas cars. No matter how you look at it, electric cars are more efficient in many different ways. We have from what we know, an unlimited amount of electricity in this world so it makes electric cars one of the better, environmentally safe choices to reduce pollution. Remember, gas is not always going to be there, oil is what is used to make the gas that powers our cars and it is running out and we have no idea how to make more of it. So i believe that your topic is very good and from what i see, very well written
