*Technology is becoming the basis of our world. cell phones, computers, GPS, and hybrid cars are our everyday life. Hybrid cars could benefit our planet, and save it. Hybrid cars are battery powered and gas operated. It can reduce the amount of gas emissions omitted into the air. Hybrid cars would also reduce the amount of money spent on gas. The greatest positive aspect about owning a hybrid car is that they get great gas mileage, hence reducing the amount of money spent on gas.
*Our planet is over populated and not getting any bigger. Our planet is over populated, and because of this over population, our planet is experiencing global warming. People are constantly driving their cars. People drive their cars when they could easily walk and get some exercise. Our country has become a very lazy country and transportation reliant. We drive down the road to our friends house when we could easily walk. But if people absolutely insist on driving, hybrid cars would be the best choice. Driving hybrid cars can reduce the amount of gas emissions put into the air. The reduction of gas emissions would lessen the green house effect and help slow down global warming.
*Gas prices are constantly fluctuating. Last summer the gas price was around $3.50. Now it is around $1.80, almost half the price. Our country is in a recession. Companies are forced to foreclosed and people are losing their jobs right and left. People don't have enough money to throw away on gas. Hybrid cars use less gas, thus reducing the amount of money a person can spend on gas. If people bought hybrid cars, people would save hundreds of dollars that would have been spent on gas. Our country would become less gas dependent. We will also become less dependent on the middle east gas suppliers.
*A downfall to hybrid cars that is it has two engines. One is a gas operated engine, and the other is battery operated. The fault to the battery operated is that its highest speed is only great around 40 miles per hour. After a car reaches that speed, it switches to the gas operated engine and recharges the battery operated engine. Using the battery operate engine would be great in residential areas like a hybrid car owners town. Most streets in local areas don't reach above 45 miles per hour. The battery operated engine would be best in this environment. The plus about the two different engines is that it gets great gas mileage.
*Hybrid cars are more expensive than other cars. Although that may change the minds of car buyers, in the long run it would be worth it. It would help save the planet and the car buyer would be saving money. Although it costs a lot at first glance. In the long run instead of spending four hundred dollars on gas per month, they could only spend about two hundred, and thus making up the difference in buying a hybrid car and a regular car. Also, owning a hybrid car could save the planet. Although it may seem like it only stops a minuscule amount of gas emissions, twenty years from now, with millions of hybrid car owners, it could make a huge difference on our planet. So go out and buy a hybrid car! It could make all the difference in your life and the future of this planet.
