Jane Farrell English 2 Period 3 September 12
In high school obviously you want to be popular and have everyone like you and you want everyone to know who you are. Its not the most important thing. Its just something that is enjoyed. Others may disagree but they have their priorities wrong. Popularity is not everything, it is just one big dramatic event that occurs over the years you go to school. What about when you graduate high school? Collage? Popularity is rarely important. Most people in high school mistake being popular and being happy. Some people have lots of friends but aren't happy at all. You can be the most popular person an be miserable. There is a major difference between popular and belonging to the group. You can be in the group and not have one person out of the group like you. Being popular is when you have lots of friends that like you and enjoy being with you. Popularity is a joke. You can have friends without it being classified as popular and unpopular. Everyone can definately be popular. That would make everyone happy. Then the old people who were popular, stay popular. And the kids who weren't popular become popular. This will help kids from some depression.

Hi Jane! Thats a really great point. Popularity is something that is enjoyed. Popularity is defiantly something that forms over time. I think popularity is stupid. If you don't know someone why generate there popularity by just what the act like around you of how they look. Why can't everyone just get along?

I agree. It doesn't matter if your popular when you get out of high school because you rarley know anyone who is going to your college and you can make new friends. Then you have an equal chance at being popular again even if you had no friends in high school. I also agree with you that it doesn't make you superior to the unpopular people because some popular people are so miserable form being pressured into being so " popular; just like Josie in Nineteen minutes.

jane , Nice essay. I agree with a lot of the topics you mention in your essay. One thing to watch out for is when you say "kids can mistake being popular and being happy" and then later on you say something like being popular makes you happy. Just make sure throughout the essay you have one opinion about that. One example is that you can say, most kids mistake being popular and being happy. And then you have the kids who are popular and happy just because they fit in, or something like that. Otherwise, its wonderful! nice job.

Jane, You make some good points in your essay. I most definitely agree with the fact that people mistake being popular with being happy. Josie is an example of someone like that. Although I disagree with the fact that everyone can be popular. I don't think everyone has the personality that allows them to fit in with everyone, some people are just anti-social. But overall you have a lot of good ideas.
